The Amateur Astronomers Association is proud to host its annual lecture series at the Kaufmann Theater of the American Museum of Natural History. Please use the 77th Street entrance. Friday, January 5 2018. Robert Nemiroff, Michigan Technological University, will discuss the “2017 Astronomy Picture of the Day”

We may decide to go out to eat and can choose where to go as a group.

Location: American Museum of Natural History, 77th Street, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. Let’s meet just outside the door (If it’s cold, just inside the door

How to get there:

By Subway:

Take the B (weekdays only) or C to 81st Street. Two blocks west of the Museum, the 1 train stops at Broadway and West 79th Street.

PLEASE NOTE: For the duration of the construction on the Manhattan Bridge the B subway line will not operate on the Upper West Side during the weekends. Weekday service will not be affected during visitor hours, but the B train will stop running weeknights on the Upper West Side at 10:45 pm.

By Bus:

The M79 bus travels east/west on W. 79th Street across Central Park, with a stop next to the Museum on W. 81st Street. Other buses also stop at or near the Museum, including the M7, M10, M11, M86, and M104 buses.
